‘Hokus pokus’ takes us back in time, to the early1900s, an era when magicians were not just entertainers but mythical beings. Our first step was spending a lot of time studying the exploits of the greats - Thurston, Keller & Houdini (Just to name a few), and combined their theatrics and ego into the character, which we created, ‘Le Magnifique Jordan Dennis’. 

The video is a playful spin on the era, starting with basic tricks, eventually building up to a grand finale of death defying antics, sprinkled in, of course, some humour and an over inflated self-confidence for good measure.
All this to highlight Jordan’s lyricism, (an equally amazing rapper as a magician we might add…) who takes us where ever he wants with his skills, over Jujo’s banging beat.

Filmed just before the infamous Melbourne lockdowns of 2020 at the Forum Theatre.
